Part of a series collections sharing the route from a madcap running adventure covering 2,352 miles (90 marathons) through Britain... in my bare feet. All the way along, I went into Girlguiding units to talk to the young women of britain about adventure, and encouraged them to kick ass. Starting in the Shetland Islands and ending five months later in London, I weaved my way along rugged coastlines, through small villages, across moors, along beaches, over farmland and even pitter pattered down the odd picturesque A-road too. I passed through some of the country’s biggest cities, and a fair ole wodge of suburbia as well. There were lots of 'open' running stages, where the general public could sign up to join me, and by the end of the journey I had been joined by 2,500 runners who threw on their trainers (because they're sensible) to join me for some miles. I had no support crew, but the people of Britain were my back up. They helped transport my big bag (called Barry) down the country, like a giant baton.Check out the other collections to see the full route.
