Mountainbike only

Peu importe le froid, on roule (presque) toujours ;-) A -2 degrés 🥶 on s'est aventuré en territoire inconnu aujourd'hui.



Axel, Edreissig et moi avons exploré le Tuschenwald et l'Uedemer Hochwald aujourd'hui. Que puis-je dire ? Un MUST pour tout le monde sur le Bas-Rhin 🚀 !

Avec Axl et Ste.phantastisch, nous avons d'abord traversé un peu la forêt d'Obrighovener, le long d'une partie de l'Issel et à travers la "forêt sans nom" via Drevenack et Krudenburg dans l'Aaper Busch.

Perfect weather.

Perfect tour thanks to our guide Axel.

Great landscape.



It's impressive how green the vegetation is in September this year. Haven't seen it like this for a long time. Even the fern is still quite high, not to mention the height of some corn fields.

Today there was something regional. A drive through the local forests right on our doorstep.



We went on tour with Ste.phantastisch and my wife today. First to the Bärenschleuse, a little bit along the Issel, through the forest without a name in the broadest sense at the gates of Voshövel ;-) It is definitely… voir plus

Of course there is no Serengeti Park in Schermbeck 🙃.



But somehow Axl and me the landscape of the Üfter Mark reminded me a lot. The forest is characterized on the one hand by many pine forests with sandy trails and gravel roads and on the other by the usual mixed forest and classic forest paths and trails… voir plus

Une belle idée de Ste.phantastic, rapidement enregistrée et donnée et nous y étions déjà aujourd'hui : Aujourd'hui nous avons mis les pédales au profit de la Fondation José Carreras Leucémie.

Lors du dernier tour de VTT en vacances, nous avons à nouveau grimpé près de 1 100 mètres d'altitude.



Nous avons conduit de Lana au petit village très clair de Platzers. C'était une montée raide, mais sur des routes et des sentiers de gravier faciles à utiliser.



La descente est ensuite devenue plus raide… voir plus

En route avec la télécabine 🚠 et les E-VTT jusqu'au Vigiljoch.



Il s'est déroulé magnifiquement sur des routes de gravier bien tracées jusqu'à Aschbach. Un petit village ancien à près de 1400m.

Finally another MTB round after just under 8 weeks. And then immediately with a new bike.



After tearing off the rear derailleur on my hardtail at the beginning of April (by the way, it was still not delivered 🧐), I decided to get a fully. And it was the right decision 😀



So today I started a test round… voir plus

It should actually be a nice tour of almost 30 kilometers and a few meters in altitude through the Hohe Mark near Lembeck. Axl, Edreissig and I were in a good mood on board. We didn't care about the weather.



It would have been a nice tour for us ... until the rear derailleur tore off on a sloping trail… voir plus

Today we went on a home run with Edreissig and Axl on the Black Water and through the Flürener- and Diersfordter Wald.



And although you have already ridden many times, you keep discovering new things or not yet familiar trails.



It was a lot of fun again 😃

Today we went to the Haniel Halde for the first time with Axl. Edreissig was on a family outing and unfortunately couldn't be there.



And I honestly have to admit ... I'm very impressed. The distant view is breathtaking and there is somehow a special and cool atmosphere up there. This is how I imagine… voir plus

Selfless as Axl and I are, we gave Edreissig a little MTB tour with us today for his birthday 🤪



Of course we had taken care of the weather on his special day in good time. And so it went in the sun, almost 10 degrees (felt it was definitely more) in our home "hunting ground" - the Aaper Busch.



Always beautiful!

With slightly plus degrees and perfect sunshine, we went mountain biking to our ever-loved Black Water again today. But this time in the snow. When can you experience that in the Lower Rhine?



The grip was even surprisingly good and it was a lot of fun to drive through the winter landscape with Axl and… voir plus

Off to the Dingdener Heide with Axl and Edreissig. 4 degrees, sun, light rain, clouds ... everything was there today.



The "feeder" into the Dingdener Heide over Brünen are not exactly the most attractive routes for an MTB. But it was all the nicer in the Dingdener Heide. And on the way back through the… voir plus

Again with crisp temperatures ... think it was around 0 degrees ... it was on the 100th tour with Komoot through the landscape in front of your own front door. Iron companions were once again Axl and Edreissig.



With the MTB`s we went along the Issel past the Bärenschleuse into the forest near the Vosh… voir plus

With a crisp 2 degrees, my new dirt suit - Axl infected me ;-) - and unexpected sunshine, the three of us went on tour again today. This time the often driven, but always beautiful loop through the Diersfordter and Bergerfurther woods.

Today the new year was opened by MTB :-)



At just under 2 degrees, three of us went to the test mountains with Axl, Stephan and me. It turned out to be a very leisurely tour, as Stephan had to get back on his feet after four years of abstinence from MTB riding.



But he did very well and I'm happy that the… voir plus

With crisp temperatures around 3 degrees, we drove to the forest again today ;-)



The legs didn't really want to start after all the food over the holidays. But Axl has no mercy and pulled me through the tour. OK then!



On the Black Water we went through the Flürener Forest and then back in the direction… voir plus

We haven't been to the Aaper Busch for a long time. Axl and I changed that today 😀



Free face, across country and on the constant search for unknown trails. And we actually found some. Especially now at this time of year it is quite muddy but no problem with the MTB.
